My favorite Game of Thrones character is Arya Stark. I'd she is so brave and tough; she has had to watch her father beheaded, avenge half her family and pose as a page boy to gather intel on her family's enemies. Wow, if she this tough now, imagine how she'll be as an adult in the show.
I know there are a lot of big actors but I like Podrick Payne. Hes trying to better himself although he is awkward and clumsy.
Arya Stark. She's become so strong after being torn away from her family. Granted with the family she has, maybe it was better for her... But yeah, Arya!

Sansa Stark! I'm a huge fan of the books and the tv series, and in my opinion Sansa's character has shown the greatest development over the series. She has gone from a niave, spoiled, helpless little girl into an emotionally and intellectually strong young woman who knows where her strengths lie and how to use them to her advantage in the tricky game they all play. And season 5 best demonstrated her new found power! I can't wait to see what the new season has in store for her!

My favourite show has many great characters; however, the one I find most intriguing and mysterious is Varys (a.k.a. - The Spider) played brilliantly by Conleth Hill. The Spider is a true “master of disguise†and, while his loyalties remain a mystery, I believe his character is integral to the final outcome of what becomes of the realm and, while he claims to despise all matters of magic, I believe he kept the wizard for a reason. I'm counting the days till the next season. LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!

Daenerys Targaryen is definitely my favorite GOT character. She's beautiful, smart, and kick a$$. Her journey/story is full of peril but she is strong and keeps going.
I like Tyrion. He is an under dog that even though he has ever right to be bitter and angry. Most of the times he is relatively honorable and good. But he is still human and has moments of lust, indecision, and greed that makes him the most relatable character. Strangely, it makes him the most human of the troop.

Jon Snow, He chooses to fight against adversity, including bullies while trying to help others at great personal cost and in contrast with the moral foundation of others around him. Meanwhile, he is doing this not for recognition, but in a humble manner. Even to a fault he follows his heart and not his mind, even though he knows that the end result may not work out as planned, but remains hopeful as ever.

Arya Stark; her story has been the most extreme as far as character development is concerned. She started out wanting to be one of the boys, learning how to sword fight and has grown to the point where she had got exactly what she has set out to do.
Plain and simple, Jon Snow! I adore his character, he is so kind, brave and honorable. He always tries to do the right thing, even if it hurts and I really admire that. Also I've always been the type to root for the underdog so I hope he comes back!

*S5 SPOILER ALERT* One of my favourite secondary characters was Maester Aemon and his death really hit me hard. You can just see an incredible history in his eyes, regardless of his old age and when he says 'Egg.. I dreamed that I was old' it caused me to shed a tear or 5 :( hopefully in a prequel series we'll see him as a young man.
I haven't finished watching season 5, but my favourite character so far I s Daenerys, because I feel like she has grown from being a skittish young sister being married off to a stranger, to not only becoming her own person, but also a queen and a mother of dragons.
Queen Cersei Lannister is my favorite. Her character is just someone you would hate and she plays it well.

Lord Petyr Baelish....it seems to me that he's the catalyst for everything that's happened from the very beginning. It was his manipulation of Lysa Tully that set everything in motion. At first, I thought it was so he could have Catelyn Stark but it seems now that he has bigger things in mind. He's never boring, he's always several steps ahead of everyone else, and he's playing the other characters like chess pieces. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw one of his shoes, but Bravo! Well played, Lord Petyr!

The whole series of characters are amazing. Jaime Lannister is changing and seeing the big picture. He wants to have a story thats written for all of the people. I see big changes in his character. My fave is Jon Snow, what will the next season will bring. Hopefully some truths about where he came from...
Tyrion Lannister for sure, because regardless of his height, he always says what he thinks and is very truthful.

Brienne of Tarth will be next to die! because the author is twisted in who he kills next. and since you dont see Stannis dying, its the next logical choice. I am even go one further and say she is killed by him lifting his sword at the last second and running her through.

Tyrion Lannister is my favorite Game of Thrones character because of his strength. Not physcial but mental. He is the perpetual underdog. Short in statue and lineage that is less than positive yet he still perseveres. Character flaws aside, he is clever and ruthless when he needs to be and continues to be a presence. I can't help but want him to win!
Daenerys because she is a strong woman. Even named a cat after her!

My favorite actor in the Game of Thrones is Tyrion Lannister played by Peter Dinklage. He is very charismatic and is an excellent actor. I always prefer the scenes that have him in them.

Jaime Lannister. I think we need a flashback scene of him offing the mad king. I like that he does what others won't do, people knew the mad king needed to go and he was the only one willing to do it. That and the actor who portrays him is hot.

Jaqen H'ghar is one of my favourite characters in the series. Not much is known about him and that is what is intriguing. Now he is training Arya to help her take revenge for her family! Valar morghulis!
Tyrione Lannister is a counter-intuitive anti-hero and he exemplifies for me how a smart person can overcome the handicaps and disadvantages through wit and smarts. He is therefore my fav character.
I'm going to go a little off the beaten path and put a vote in for everyone's favorite Master of Spies, Varys. He's clever enough to have weathered all the sea changes, serving the Mad King, Robert Baratheon, and now the Lannisters, even while still being a closet Targaryen supporter. For all the deception inherent in his position, he still seems like he operates with a sense of ethics and understanding that the good of the realm is more important than any individual person sitting on the Iron Throne. He also can be a good ally up to a point, though that ultimately has limits because he ultimately puts his own position and self-preservation above any "friendships" (Ned Stark, Tyrion), if you can call them that. And he's usually three steps ahead of everyone else, though Littlefinger is giving him a run for his money.
I like The Hound because he doesn't care about the game of thrones or the royalty. He just does his own thing.
John Snow because he is my favourite character and really there isn't anything to not like about him ! he never gives up !

Cersi is my favourite character. She is behind so many plots and storylines. She is evil and selfish and has so much hatred for anyone spoiling her plans. She's a user and she is unrepentant though she has been made to. I think she drives a good deal of the show. It would prove interesting to see who would step up to the plate if she were gone.
Ned Stark, as played by the incomparable Sean Bean. The show has lacked a compelling compass and focus ever since (not to mention it seems to have since gotten high off the endless shock value of its heroes' mortality).
Bronn - because of that grin!
This one is easy for me: Daenerys of House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Queen of Meereen, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lady Regnant of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains and of course, Mother of Dragons. She came from nothing to being kick ass (and she's gorgeous to boot)!

My favourite character from GoT is definitely Tyrion. For me, he is the underdog - the misunderstood, always underestimated character who keeps winning against all odds. He's a charming, intelligent, strong and cunning character who understands his own limitations and his strengths. I think it's going to come down to Littlefinger and him at the end of the day, and the people who are on either side.
Tyrion Lannister - He is a scene stealer, witty, sarcastic, and a true pivotal character able to use his apparent disadvantages to his advantage.
Theon Greyjoy. Alfie Allen does a wonderful job playing this guy who always believes he's doing the right thing, and always failing at it.

Everybody loved Jon Snow, so did I, I still like Ned Stark best, the whole series and books cheesed me off right from when they killed Ned. Martin didn't have to do that. There are way too many good characters that suffer and die and too many evil ones get away with everything. If one of them dies it's swift usually and it's not enough justice for me.

This is like having to pick your favorite child! I love Brienne, Tyrion, Daenerys and Khal Drogo but my current favorite is Tormund Giantsbane. He quite a wise leader even though the Wildings don't have a "leader". They seem to follow him and listen to him. He and Jon have managed to get the Wildings to move across the wall and to fight the White Walkers with the Crows.

Tywin Lannister is my favorite character because of how much honour is actually layered behind his 'evil' demeanor. Above all else the family name superceeds the importance of any one member of the family. He has a shakespearean tragic flaw in his pride and jealousy over the Lannister name which of coarse gets him killed!

Davos Seaworth, because he struggles with his moral decisions, he's not some angel who always finds an unrealistic perfect solution, and he struggles because he doesn't always have the power to back up his ideals, but he is a good guy in spite of it all. Also, he's pretty badass. I struggled with this a lot, because there are a lot of cool people in this series. I thought a lot about Wyman Manderly, because feeding people their relatives is pretty hardcore. I hate when someone forgives too quick or too completely in a story. We're supposed to think these people are morally superior? Maybe they just don't have much of a capacity to love. It's not like the Freys are exerting themselves to be forgiven and have learned from their mistakes. I also have a lot of hopes for Arya and Sansa. Even if they stay separated, I like how they seem to be growing into two different ways to be powerful and agents for change. I hope Arya doesn't complete her learning and lose herself, but uses what she learns to defend people (and reunite with what's left of the Starks, Gendry and Nymeria). Sansa is learning political and social manipulation, and I hope she ends up surpassing her teacher (and manipulating a situation so he ends up dead).
Even though Ned Stark wasn't on Game of Thrones for very long, he was a very powerful, noble character and was so sad to see him killed and beheaded. He did everything for his family and he was one of my favourite characters.

My Favorite Game of Thrones Character is Grand Maester Pycelle Because he has served under 4 kings. He is very wise in History, Science and Medicine but is actually mentally sharp and dangerous which makes his character very believable. He is Loyal to the Queen and has assisted with the birth of all of her children as well. As he enjoys the company of prostitutes but despite his tendency for deception, he does retain some sense of medical ethics. What a show and killer times!
Little Finger, he makes everyone think he is their ally when he has a plan for himself all along. He never makes me really hate him!

Of all the characters developed in this series, the one that I would root for is Samwell who thrown into an unfamiliar element manages to survive with the help of friends. Sure he is fearful but he finds the courage to do the right things for his friends and those he cares about inspite of his fears. Stout maybe but stout of heart and decisive action when it's called for is what he'll be known for. Wasn't that great when he stood up to the White Walker and discovered the secret of the blade?
While I'm tempted to vote for Tyrion Lannister as I admire intelligence, wit, endurance and his emotional side and glimmerings of a good heart, I think I'll go for Ned Stark who was an example of a benevolent and wise leader and family man whose death set up the series as one of realistic fantasy.

I don't have a favourite character. There are just so many of them and they all have their amazing stories and developments. For example, there's Jon Snow; handsome, brave, loyal, and also very lonely. He had been through so many hardships and neglection from not only his family but the people at the Watch and they defined him into a better person. Tyrion is the same way, everyone treats him as though he's an outsider but he is so witty,intellegant, and has the biggest heart. He feeds off others ignorance and hate and builds himself into a better person. A person who had mercy and empathy for others betrayed and unwanted. Then there's Cersei who wants nothing more than power because of love for her family. She wants what's best for her son and the kingdom. She was even willing to commit suicide with her son to prevent him from being brought up in a world where Lannisters are dead meat to others and would be tortured (had her father not rescued her). I'm also seeing in the comments most people are only stating main characters but what about lesser ones? Everyone contributes to the story that makes it great. It's just so hard to pick a favourite....
Oh, definitely, Tyrion. He continually goes through so much adversity and misfortune, yet he always soldiers on with a clever quip and a new plan.

Granted, he has a weakness for womanly companionship but if that's his only flaw, then he is quite normal by today's standards of the average man in today's movies.

She sticks to her belief in her goal of helping all slaves and trying to end to slavery, attempting to reach the Iron throne building her own army. She’s just simply magnificent!

I've always admired the character of Jon Snow. Despite the "shame" of being a bastard in a world where your family name essentially limited what paths were open to you to either rise or fall, he found a way make his life his own. Daddy Lannister (Tywin) he has taken his house from Ruin by his father to the emanate house in the 7 kingdoms. he is disciplined, intelligent (except Arya being under his nose... he should have clued into that)hard working, strategic, demanding, sly he had all the emotions necessary to further his agendas calm when calm was needed and angry when angry was necessary.I got shivers every time this character was on the screen (don't even get me started on how well Charles Dance portrayed this character) now while perhaps a bit of a calculator of a human being. and to make him more "relatable" he could have a had a bit more compassion. and as much as he was "villain" he was much to be admired, respected AND feared, hated etc.. when you can have both emotions about the same character... that's where the magic is.
Tyrion is by far my favourite character in GOT... Strong,and intelligent, you'd be unwise to cross him. Plus, Peter Dinklage is amazing.
Daenerys, because she controls dragons.
Jorah Mormont! Why? Because he is a true knight, chivalrous and honorable. Which is hard to find in Game of Thrones, once someone shows some honor they get killed. Also, his unrequited love (or maybe just obsession) with Daenerys.

Daenerys Stormborn because she is a fierce, honourable and empathetic woman and best of rulers, justice seeking and activist, and we need more strong female rolemodels like her in the tv/movie industry. Not to mention, she is probably the most similar in the show as to the books!

Tyrion Lannister is my favourite as he has been dealt a bad hand from his first breath on earth. However, he has overcome many, many perils and has many, many more to come. He is larger than life, even though he is small. He is a survivor and will continue to do so, as a very influential character in the Game. He is a gem in the rough and will be the biggest surprise!

Love her passion, energy and most of all her dragons that she will never give up on even if they don't want to listen to her! I cried with her when she had to lock them up which was hard for her to do. Also I love Emilia Clarke playing her as she does such a great job capturing Daenerys personality and strength :) Can't wait for more of her in this season!!
Arya Stark is the strongest character; she has had to undergo adversity beyond expectation for her age especially considering the family she was born into. She has triumphed so far and learned many valuable lessons about life and people. She has SPUNK!

My favourite character still in Game of Thrones has to be the patriarch Ned Stark. Although he never lasted that long in the series his role was very important and he is sadly missed still. Hopefully the writers can have some form of his return through either a dream sequence or flashback. We were lucky enough to go to the theater to watch last sessions finale, and watching it on the huge screen was so worth it. What a fantastic prize you are offering and it would fit very nicely in my dvd player. Ha!! Best of luck to all who enter.

Sandor "The Hound" Clegane, Rory McCann does an excellent job and shares his first name with my Son. Even with his flaws I could always see good in him.
Tyrion is my favorite. He is very intelligent and knows what to do to survive. I enjoy his smart replies and how he entertains his adversaries so he can get out of their clutches.
