FAN EXPO Canada is celebrating its 30th edition with what could be its biggest turnout yet.
FAN EXPO Canada began as a small comic book convention attended by approximately 1,500 people. It has since become Canada’s largest event of its kind and the third-largest pop culture convention in North America.
The four-day convention is on track for record-breaking attendance as it takes over the North and South Buildings of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre through Sunday, August 30, 2026.
Due to high demand, the show’s Saturday hours have been extended until 8 p.m. Full-day tickets for August 29 are sold out, but a limited number of tickets offering entry after 3 p.m. have been released.
This year’s celebrity lineup includes Star Wars icon Mark Hamill, John Cena, Mel Gibson, The Lord of the Rings stars Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, John Rhys-Davies, Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan; as well as Alan Ritchson, Mr. T., William Fichtner, Bruce Dickinson, Brenton Thwaites, Catherine Bell and Oded Fehr.
The milestone edition is expected to welcome more than 135,000 fans across 750,000 square feet of convention space. Attendees can explore attractions and programming devoted to comics, science fiction, horror, anime and gaming, along with celebrity appearances and panel events.
Tickets remain available for Friday, August 28 and Sunday, August 30 through the FAN EXPO Canada website. Fans travelling from outside Toronto can also purchase a GO Add-On Ticket, which includes round-trip GO Transit fare from any GO station to Union Station. Children 12 and under ride GO Transit for free.
