One new film landed in the Top 5 at the weekend box office, but it was last weekend's champion, Disney's Lilo & Stitch, that remained on top for the third weekend in a row, taking in an extra $32.5 million for a total of $335.8 million.
Ballerina starring Ana de Armas as a ballerina-turned-assassin opened in second, earning $25 million in its debut weekend.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning starring Tom Cruise dropped to third, adding an additional $15 million to its three-week haul for a total of $149.2 million. Click here to read our review.
Karate Kid: Legends starring Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio dropped one spot to fourth, earning an extra $8.7 million for a two-week total of $35.4 million.
Rounding out the top five was the horror film Final Destination: Bloodlines, which took in an additional $6.5 million for a four-week total of $123.6 million.
