New Odyssey trailer teases fans with star-studded cast

A new trailer for The Odyssey -- Christopher Nolan’s take on the classical Greek epic poem -- shows off an incredible cast of A-listers.

The trailer features Matt Damon as the mythological hero Odysseus, embarking on a 10-year journey back to his homeland of Ithaca, where his wife Penelope (Anne Hathaway) and son (Tom Holland) await. It also offers a glimpse of Robert Pattinson as Antinous, who wants Penelope to choose him in Odysseus' absence, believing he won't return, and Charlize Theron as the nymph Calypso.

However, not all the film's stars are shown in the trailer. Missing from the footage are Zendaya as the goddess Athena, Benny Safdie as his brother Agamemnon, Mia Goth as the maidservant Melantho,  and unknown characters played by Elliot Page and Lupita Nyong'o.

The Odyssey is scheduled for release on July 17, 2026.
