Pedro Pascal surprised fans with a stealth appearance at Disneyland this weekend, delighting Star Wars visitors with an unexpected moment tied to the upcoming film Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu.
Guests inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge were stunned when Pascal appeared in full Mandalorian armor as Din Djarin. He initially kept the helmet on, staying in character, before later revealing himself to shocked visitors during a special moment aboard the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction.
Disney has since released behind-the-scenes footage showing how the reveal was staged. The updated version of Smugglers Run, launching alongside The Mandalorian and Grogu, introduces new storylines featuring Din Djarin and Grogu and will be available at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

The Mandalorian and Grogu continues the story established in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, which starred Pascal across three seasons set within the larger Star Wars universe. In the new film, Din Djarin is recruited by the New Republic for a mission involving Rotta the Hutt (voiced by The Bear actor Jeremy Allen White), the son of Jabba the Hutt. The movie also includes a voice performance from acclaimed director Martin Scorsese as an Ardennian shopkeeper, alongside Sigourney Weaver as Colonel Ward.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu opens in theaters on Friday, May 22, 2026.
