The Artist leads BAFTA nominations

Published By Tribute on Jan 17, 2012

On the heels of Sunday night's Golden Globe Awards, the stars are gearing up for another round of prizes. The nominations for this year's Orange British Academy Film Awards, presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), were announced early this morning by British actors Daniel Radcliffe and Holliday Grainger. Leading the pack of nominees, yet again, is none other than Michel Hazanavicius's The Artist.

The black and white silent film has been nominated for 12 awards including best director, best leading actor and actress, and best film. Not far behind with 11 nominations is Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, a film that didn't receive any Golden Globe nominations. Other BAFTA hopefuls include Hugo with nine nominations, My Week with Marilyn with six, and The Help and War Horse with five each. The ceremony, to be hosted by Stephen Fry, will be presented on Sunday, February 12 at the Royal Opera House in London and will be aired exclusively on BBC One.

S. for those who have almost any good friends living beyond the Ough. T., ask them to make an bank account and provide the information. can be a hustle and bustle, although well worth it.
