Phoebe Dynevor was born in Manchester, England. Her father was a screenwriter and her mother was Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor. Phoebe has two younger siblings.

She got her first role at 14 when she appeared in the fifth season of Waterloo Road, then continued to work in television in her teenage years with roles in Monroe and The Musketeers and in the BBC drama Prisoners' Wives. In 2017 she made her American television debut in Snatch, alongside Luke Pasqualino and Rupert Grint.

In 2019, Phoebe was cast as Daphne Bridgerton, the main character in the first season of Netflix’s Bridgerton, produced by Shonda Rhimes and based on the Regency romance novel The Duke and I. The show premiered in December 2020.

Following that, she began starring in films such as the biographical film The Colour Room (2021) and the thriller Fair Play (2023).

In 2021 Phoebe briefly dated American comedian Pete Davidson. Currently, Phoebe is engaged to actor and producer Cameron Fuller.
