Born: March 30, 1995
Simone Ashley was born in Surrey, England. She grew up in a family of academics but found herself more drawn to the creative arts.
Simone's first acting role was on two episodes of the fantasy teen drama Wolfblood. She made her feature film debut in 2018 with a small role in Boogie Man. From 2019 to 2021, Ashley played the recurring character Olivia Hanan on the Netflix comedy-drama Sex Education.
In March 2022, she starred opposite Jonathan Bailey in the second season of the Netflix period romance Bridgerton. She later portrayed Indira, one of Ariel’s sisters, in Disney’s 2023 live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid.
In February 2026, it was announced that Simone had joined the cast of the A24 comedy Peaked, directed by Molly Gordon. The same month she joined Sam Claflin and Evan Peters in the upcoming musical comedy Falling.
She appears in The Devil Wears Prada 2 (2026) alongside Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.
Simone released her debut EP, Songs I Wrote In New York, on April 10, 2026.
