Sunny Sandler Biography

Sunny Madeline Sandler, the daughter of actor and comedian Adam Sandler and actress Jackie Sandler, grew up around the film industry alongside her older sister, Sadie Sandler, who also acts.

Sunny made her screen debut as a child in her father's comedy Grown Ups (2010) and went on to appear in several of his films, including Just Go with It (2011), Jack and Jill (2011), That's My Boy (2012), Grown Ups 2 (2013), Blended (2014), The Ridiculous 6 (2015), Sandy Wexler (2017), The Week Of (2018), Murder Mystery (2019) and Hubie Halloween (2020). She also took on voice roles, including Sunny in Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (2018).

After years of smaller roles, Sunny landed her first major starring role as Stacy Friedman in the Netflix comedy You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah (2023). The film also featured her father Adam as Stacy's father, her sister Sadie as Stacy's older sister and her mother Jackie in a supporting role. That same year, Sunny voiced Summer in the animated Netflix film Leo, with Adam voicing the title character.

She continued building her filmography with appearances in The Out-Laws (2023), Spaceman (2024), Kinda Pregnant (2025), Happy Gilmore 2 (2025) and Jay Kelly (2025). In Happy Gilmore 2, she took on another major role, playing Vienna Gilmore, the daughter of her father's character, Happy Gilmore.

Outside of acting, Sunny has also shown an interest in singing, performing "A Million Dreams" from The Greatest Showman during one of her father's comedy shows in 2019 and later joining Adam and Sadie for a performance at a charity event.

As her career has progressed, Sunny has moved from childhood cameos in her father's projects to increasingly prominent roles of her own. She stars as Sophie Birenbaum in the Netflix comedy-drama Don't Say Good Luck (2026).
