I liked this movie, more mayhem like the first 2. I like that the prodcer tied everything together at the end, bringing the story full circle.
It's sad that what makes money for Hollywood these days is not good plot, not original thinking or creativity, but effects-heavy, politically correct codswallop. Absolutely nothing new or original in this one, except for the effects. As much as we must recognize and honor George Lucas for introducing the world to benefit of realistic special effects, I wonder whether a piece of crap movie such as this would even have been greenlighted in the first place if there were no over-the-top special effects to buoy it, because the concept/plot/characters have no inherent value whatsoever. What a sad time in which we live...!!!
Husband n I laughed and laughed over thse reviews More entertainment reading intelligentcomments. Removed it from my wantasee list. thank you for saving us from a waste of time and $$$
Avatar is about gender identity and transgender rights for the Na'vi, a fictional blue-skinned people. Many people applauded when the man in the film chose to transition into one of the blue beings. It was heartwarming to have more transgender cinema figures to look up to.
Three is a charm. The first was interesting because it was so different from anything seen before. The second one was way too much war and chaos. The third was more of the same. I will stop looking at them now.
I liked how the Ash people are basically like the invaders coming to North America.
I saw the 1st 2 Avatars at 1 sitting, a few days before this one. I enjoyed those 1st 2. We saw this 3rd one in 3D, which I didn't care for as the glasses hurt my nose and made the picture a little hazy, even after cleaning them. This movie seemed like a repeat of #2. I was falling asleep around hour 2, but forced myself to stay awake (expensive nap!), just in time for fight scenes that seemed almost exactly like the fight scenes in the 2nd movie I had just seen a few days prior. I hope there aren't more to come. I'd say stop while you're ahead!ijC
We watched this as regular, not 3D or at least there were no glasses. This movie is amazing! Visuals were out of this world, the storyline was great, very intense battle scenes. A few times the music was a little loud, but it was great. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was because there were no closed captions and sometimes it was not clear what they said. I'm not sure if movies in theaters have closed captions or not. It's been over 8 years since I've been to a theater. I'm not sure it's suitable for young kids, maybe 12 and up.
This movie would've been better if it wasn't in 3D! The fact that we had to wear a 3D glasses, and for children was the big turn off!!
It was amazing always kept you on your feet. enjoyable movie for the whole family.
I absolutely Love these movies, I feel that I may have missed out on a lot with the 1st one by not seeing it in 3D. They are a must see in 3D. That being said I own the first 2 on DVD and really enjoy watching them! I can't wait for the next two!
Not since JAWS III has a 3-d sequel been so breathtakingly good.
The beauty of the people, and background, and characters, etc. The depth of the special effects are phenomenal. I was so impressed from the first movie, second and this one also. I want to see it again in the theaters before it goes of.Thanks for the pleasure of these movies.
Incredible visuals. Storyline was not overplayed. Best yet. Theater was awesome too!!!!
Dull and uninspired. Seriously folks, there is NOTHING new here, simply the third movie to make more money, but the plot was dull, acting wooden, and the woke agenda just getting tiring. Should have been a CGI nature documentary, then there wouldn't be a need for a hackneyed plot like this. Regretting wasting my money.
It was a good movie if it was made shorter then it would be awesome
Great!
Was disappointed by Avatar 2 Way Of The Water. But Avatar 3 Fire & Ash got my hopes back. Loved this movie. Can't wait to see it again. Didn't feel like 3 hours.
No story just violence. Fight run escape hide Fight run escape hide over and over for over 3 hours. I will never watch another. Boring as hell
Is there anything new in this movie we haven't seen in the last two? Boring.
Loved it like the first 2.
The entire problem with all the Avatar movies is that the plot is ridiculous - ridiculously simple and ridiculously unoriginal (save the earth/Pandora, "bad guy" becomes good guy when he finally understands, blah blah). The bigger problem is the audiences that think this is actually a "story". It is not. This is nothing more than a 3-hr special effects demo, which comes decades late. Everyone knows now that special effects can do anything, so unless there is an actual plot involved, why bother? Might as well watch a 3-hr computer benchmarking test for graphics. Would give it zero stars if I could.
7 OUT OF 10 it hard to put fire and ash in many words but hearing i go, it was ok not great but trebblie like some people are saying, still enjoyed it but i didn't like how it was stealing from way of water as I like that film way better, AND saw it 13 times, fire and ash has those amazing computer graphics and I did have some moments that were touching, but go see it for yourself as it worth seeing on the big screen. Going to see again in 3D IMAX

Boring from start to finish. All of the hype drops to the floor immediately. The only good part was seeing Sojourny Weaver in heaven. What a waste of an excellent actress.
Dire and Trash
If you can't understand why others have a different opinion then go find a small child and have them explain the concept of subjectivity to you.
I don't why a few give this movie a bad rating. I loved the final movie as the one viewer said it wrapped up things nicely!! But to pan it because it was too long or stories were the same idea. So what!! This movie gave us a chance to enjoy the beautiful special effects which made you feel you were right there with them!! It was an escape from the crap that is going on in our world. And the 3 hours went by pretty fast. I felt for the characters with the losses and joys. James Cameron you wrote and directed a fantastic Sci-fi movie!!!! And all the actors should be proud of the outcome with stellar acting!!! I can't rave enough about this movie series I loved it!!!!
Fire & Ash put an end to the series with an interesting ending. I appreciated the similarities of this movie to the other two movies. The characters stayed true to their personalities from the other two movies. The special effects were fantastic! Best movie I've seen in quite a while. It kind of sad to say goodbye to Jake and Neytiri having experienced their journey from their first meeting to this the final movie.
Beautiful film.
Yes, the story line is similar but the special effects are outstanding. A must see in 3D and max as well. Really did not notice the 3 hours length. Makes me what to see aviator1 again and will do so on a streaming platform. You do at least need to see the first one to make any sense out of this one.
Should have left well enough alone.
It has been a while since there has been a good sci-fi. This was well worth the ticket price. I enjoyed it.
Good 4-fingered primitives. Bad 5-fingered pink people. Again. The first time was interesting. The second one was a bore. The third one shouldn't exist.
God it's long! And there's no good reason for it to be. It's the same stuff as the other two Avatar movies really. I will not be looking at a fourth.
3 hrs movie is just too long. I think Avatar should retire now after this one. It's over-done and has lost a lot of original story-line. I liked it OK, just not that great anymore. Considering the lack of movies to go see in past few months - I went out of boredom
There are so many ways to show Pandora but each movie is like the last one. White people are evil and must be stopped. They will never be able to save this planet or any other. The earth mother may save us yet but humans never will.
It´s action-packed and the VFX effects are the best I have ever seen. The new villain Varang is psychotic and evil (no poor misunderstood victim who deserves "redemption") and the actress is obviously enjoying the role. She has great chemistry with Col. Quaritch. There´s a lot of emotional, intense scenes. And some brutal and dark ones, so it´s not suitable for young children. My only complaint is the core plot is basically the same as in the previous movies. I expected it will lead to Pandora-forming of the Earth at some point, or to spreading awareness about the evil actions of the corpos and mercenaries, which would lead to massive protests on the Earth. But we still have not been to the Earth. It also didn´t have to be over 3 hours long. It doesn´t feel long, but people rarely have 3+ hours of free time to rewatch a movie.
Impressive; nobody writes dialogue like Jim Cameron.
It may not be the best Avatar movie, but it could be. See it with someone you love.
The best AVATAR yet is also the year's best movie!
