Don't listen to the haters! This movie is fun, feminist, silly, action-packed, and TOTALLY self aware! If you didn't like it, well, you're either a jerk, or kinda dumb.

Nostalgic with 80's theme and music. The first He-man movie you can get behind! My children also loved it 18 & 12 yrs old

Skeletor stole the show! Great portrayal. We had no expectations and were pleasantly surprised.

Smiling The whole way through. Laughs and good action. This really is HE MAN. I can only imagine the budget Disney and Feminist groups have put towards giving this film deceptive malicious reviews. Face it! This movie is the latest victim of woke review bombing disguised as "unhappy fans". I can tell you honestly there is NO unhappy fans. Fans love this film. Disney and political groups are secretly reviewing bombing this picture. Disney doesn't like the competition to their MCU and Star Wars franchises sbd feminist LGB groups hate to see masculinity and real male power on screen. Don't fall for the negative campaign.

I have no idea why people are sleeping on this film but they are missing out. Its made for the big screen not streaming! Its literally the MCU of Saturday Mornings! Its Dungeons and Dragons meets Star Wars and everyone loves that about HE MAN. I think they made two big marketing mistakes 1) they didn't say HE MAN in the title and not many people know "masters of the universe" they don't recognize the brand without HE MAN in the title. 2) attaching Amazon's name to it made it sound like it might be made for streaming and thus ok to just wait till it's on prime. Big mistake! This is a blockbuster retro hit! 3) they skipped the advertising budget to create awesome merch. But merch without advertising isn't going to move...same with tickets. Every podcast should have had interviewed about this awesome film. And finally I think the fans themselves are to blame. The target demographic of 35 to 45 yo males are far too comfortable pirating and watching things online. Its not the same bronies. Get up off your blind bums and go see this in theatres the way it was meant to be seen. !!! I saw it in screen X and yes its worth it! Its. HE MAN done right

This was Mattels shot at getting kids into the line but it has plenty of sexual jokes and the final joke is just offensive for any parent with young children. I honestly don't know what they were thinking.

Jared Leto , well , he does this Ian mckellan , John Luke Picard, impression, all the way through , like it's an imitation , not spin , nothing new , he literally rips their voices off and gets paid, baffling . New guy Adam ,is fine , dorky, hunky , central casting . Evil Lyn looks and acts like a mall hairdress for the nintyies. All the menace of a bad perm . Wanted to love , but lots got in the way , the self deprecation on the nerd community is fun. Snappy when it needs to be , just not snappy enough . And that the rub ,could been a lady . Sad

Why can't they leave the classics alone?

TWO THUMBS UP ! ! ! !

They had a chance to tell a story that would've been relatable to all parents. Especially dads. Man-At-Arms could've struggled with losing everything and failing those he loved. Then had to struggle with that knowledge while having to protect the only thing he had left. His daughter Teela. With everything taken from him by the very world he must now prepare Teela for. But no. They turned one of the greatest father figures from 80s cartoons into a useless broken drunk. Great father/daughter story Mattel. I hate this movie.

A fun ride to a childhood beloved cartoon.

A well stacked man in pink talks about his feelings. Let's leave that alone.

It's lousy. Yeah it's comic book stuff but I liked Batman and most of the Superman and Spiderman movies, but this one was missing something. I think it was maturity. It's just so adolescent... early adolescent. It's obviously on purpose that the hero's body grew up without his head. It didn't fit. That's all. Even the music was stupid. Clearly not a John Williams, or Jerry Goldsmith, or James Horner score. Ten bucks wasted.

If you want to be explaining to your kids why fisting jokes aren't appropriate. Let them watch this movie.

So, the adult in you wants to not admit that it loves this movie, is it corny, yes, is it simple, yes is it entertaining, definitely. If your entire childhood has been forgotten and wiped from your memory, then don't see it. If you still have any part of the kid left in you and aren't afraid to admit it. Enjoy!

If you are 10 years old U might enjoy it - oh well, I paid the money to see it so I stuck it out. I give it a good C rating because there was nothing else on to go see. It was funny in some parts -a chuckle here and there and that's about all the good I can say about it.

Man-At-Arms and Tri-Klops were race swapped. Roboto was gender swapped. Don't tell me it was get the best actors for the parts because I say more words in my sleep than what Tri-Klops said in this movie and he did nothing but get his butt kicked. Making Man-At-Arms out to be some arrogant and prideful guy is a bunch of 💩. My god that stupid strut by Trapjaw. Who the frick thought that looked intimidating. He was one of the goofiest acting characters in the film. There were more than a few times when I wanted to slap my forehead at the script. Too many negatives that overshadow the good parts. I gave this movie another shot and I won't give it another.

AWESOME

User review rating: 2 June 05, 2026

Good acting for once by Jarod Leto, but the attempts at jokes, way over the top innuendos, and constant meme references kind of ruined it.

It’s like the cartoon from the 80s brought to life. Can’t wait to see it again!

User review rating: 1 June 05, 2026

I thought it was written by a 10 year old. The HR women was the only bright spot in the film. I have never seen the original cartoon so I han no reference there.

The dialogue and script is just too cringe at times. Jerod Leto played Skeletor well. He stole every scene he was in. The movie would've been much better had it went with the tone of the 200X cartoon. The 80s cartoon served its purpose but MOTU is much more than that freakin cartoon. The action scenes were fun and the sound effect during those scenes were spot on. However, the movie tries too hard to be funny and I found myself checking the time.

Action packed, lots of reference to the original material, a bit corny but that's what the 80's cartoon was like.

This is the movie 10 year old me would have wanted to see in the 90's.
