Pinocchio
When woodworker Geppetto longs for a son, his puppet Pinocchio is magically brought to life. Pinocchio must prove himself “brave, truthful and unselfish” to become a real boy, but he faces temptation at every turn, despite the advice of surrogate conscience Jiminy Cricket.
Oscar winner for Best Original Score and Song (the immortal “When You Wish Upon a Star”). A quantum leap in Disney’s animation technique, and considered by some to be the studio’s summit achievement.
